Tomato sauce

- 410 gr or 14 oz of pureed tomatoes
- Extra virgin olive oil to taste
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 bunch basil
- Salt and pepper to taste

- In a pan with the oil, sauté the garlic over a gentle flame. Take it off.
- Add the tomatoes.
- Cook on a low heat for about twenty minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper and add the basil leaves.
Tips to ensure the success of the dish:
- The quality of the pureed tomatoes will make the sauce more or less good.
- When the sauce is ready you can use an immersion mixer to make it even more velvety.
- The basil must be added only at the end because it tends to darken in cooking and lose fragrance.
