A delicious side dish perfect accompaniment for red meat and when paired with yogurt sauce it becomes a perfect happy hour appetizer. Quick and easy recipe that I repurposed from one by Yotam Ottolenghi.
Glazed carrots

- Ingredients
- 1.3 kg carrots
- 1 tablespoon thyme or chestnut honey
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 bunch of thyme
- Extra-virgin olive oil to taste
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cloves of garlic
- For the sauce:
- 150 g Greek yogurt
- 2 tablespoons tahini sauce
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 clove of crushed garlic
- Instructions
- Turn oven on to 400°F.
- Mix the honey with the oil, cumin, thyme, salt and pepper.
- Wash the carrots well and cut them into sticks.
- Season the carrots with the honey sauce.
- Place them on a baking sheet covered with baking paper and bake them in the oven around thirty minutes.
- Mix the yogurt with the tahini sauce, lemon juice and garlic in a bowl.
- Serve the carrots with the yogurt sauce.
