  • 410 gr or 14 oz of pureed tomatoes
  • Extra virgin olive oil to taste
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 bunch basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

  2. In a pan with the oil, sauté the garlic over a gentle flame. Take it off.
  3. Add the tomatoes.
  4. Cook on a low heat for about twenty minutes.
  5. Season with salt and pepper and add the basil leaves.

Tips to ensure the success of the dish:

  • The quality of the pureed tomatoes will make the sauce more or less good.
  • When the sauce is ready you can use an immersion mixer to make it even more velvety.
  • The basil must be added only at the end because it tends to darken in cooking and lose fragrance.
