A quick and easy preparation for breakfast or a tasty snack. Granola is a mixture of oats and dried fruit invented by Kellogg’s, the inventor of the Cornflakes, in 1878. It pairs divinely with Greek yogurt and as a snack is unmatched with ice cream.
Granola

- 100 gr or 4 oz of sugar cane
- 100 gr or 4 oz of nuts
- 100 gr or 4 oz of almonds
- 100 gr or 4 oz of hazelnuts
- 200 gr or 7 oz of oats
- 1 pinch of salt
- 100 gr or 4 oz of maple syrup
- Instructions
- Cut the dried fruit into pieces.
- Mix oats with dried fruit, salt, and sugar.
- Add the maple syrup.
- Put the mixture on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper.
- Bake in a hot oven at 300 °F for about twenty minutes or until the mixture has taken on a caramelized color. Allow to cool and chop.
Tips to ensure the success of the dish:
- The timing of baking is suggested because each oven cooks differently
- You can add to the granola, once cooked and cooled, or 4 tablespoons of chocolate in drops or 3 tablespoons of raisins.
