These cookies are ideal for breakfast because they are perfect to combine with coffee and milk. I often prepare them because they are very quick to make.
The morning immediately becomes brighter with them for breakfast
Mirta cheetah print cookies
- Preparation time: XX minutes
- Ingredients for about 30 biscuits
- Difficulty: Easy recipe
- Ingredients
- 11 oz (300 grams) of all-purpose flour
- 5 oz (150 grams) of sugar
- ½ oz (8 grams) of baking powder
- 2 eggs
- 2 ½ oz (60 grams) of rice seed oil
- Grated zest of 1 orange
- For the cocoa dough:
- ¾ oz (20 grams) of bitter cocoa
- For the vanilla dough:
- 1 vanilla bean
- 1 ½ oz (40 grams) of flour
- Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- In a bowl, first mix the powders (sifted flour, sugar, and baking powder). Create a hole in which to break the 3 eggs. Add the seed oil and grated orange zest.
- Incorporate all the ingredients well until the mixture is soft, homogeneous, and slightly sticky.
- Transfer the contents of the bowl to a work surface and knead the dough well. Form a nice dough that will be divided into two halves of equal weight.
- Add sifted flour and vanilla bean to one half of the dough, then add the unsweetened cocoa powder to the other.
- Divide both the vanilla and the cocoa mixture into two parts.
- Take one part of the vanilla mixture and one part of the cocoa mixture to form small cylinders about 3 inches long that will be joined together as if to form a loaf that will then be turned on itself to alternate the colors several times. Create a thick loaf, wrap it in cellophane, and leave in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
- After this time, cut the biscuits not too thick.
- Transfer the biscuits onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for about fifteen to twenty minutes.
- Once taken out of the oven, wait a few minutes for them to cool.
Tips to ensure the success of the dish:
- The addition of the extra flour serves to ensure that the vanilla dough has the same consistency as the cocoa one.
- Obviously the decoration can be of various types: knurled, alternating squares, zebra, torchon, or cheetah print like this.
- The timing of cooking in the oven is indicative because each oven cooks differently.
