A delicious side dish perfect accompaniment for red meat and when paired with yogurt sauce it becomes a perfect happy hour appetizer. Quick and easy recipe that I repurposed from one by Yotam Ottolenghi.

Glazed carrots

  • Ingredients
  • 1.3 kg carrots
  • 1 tablespoon thyme or chestnut honey
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 bunch of thyme
  • Extra-virgin olive oil to taste
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • For the sauce:
  • 150 g Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons tahini sauce
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 clove of crushed garlic
  1. Instructions
  2. Turn oven on to 400°F.
  3. Mix the honey with the oil, cumin, thyme, salt and pepper.
  4. Wash the carrots well and cut them into sticks.
  5. Season the carrots with the honey sauce.
  6. Place them on a baking sheet covered with baking paper and bake them in the oven around thirty minutes.
  7. Mix the yogurt with the tahini sauce, lemon juice and garlic in a bowl.
  8. Serve the carrots with the yogurt sauce.
